B1 Intermediate Use of English Practice Tests

These free B1 Intermediate Use of English tests are designed for pre-intermediate (Cambridge B1 Preliminary) learners. Each test contains 15 questions in either multiple-choice cloze or open-cloze (text with gaps) format — the same task types used in Cambridge English exams.

The exercises focus on conditionals, modal verbs, passive voice, and phrasal verbs. After submitting your answers you will see your score, detailed explanations for every question, and links to the relevant B1 Intermediate grammar lessons so you can review the rules behind each answer.
